The Power flushing process should take around 6 hours to complete and a Professional power flush machine is required to ensure your central heating system is clear and running as efficient as can be. Some systems can take longer to flush if left for many years or if an inhibitor has not been used each year.
The price of a full system Power flush varies with the size of the heating system. Our starting cost is for 8 radiators, single or double including the descaler and inhibitor.
- 8 Radiator’s from £300
- Additional Radiators from £25
- Magna Filter (optional) from £150
- Microbore systems from £50
When you need a Power flush
The signs to look for include blocked or cold areas on radiators, excessive noise or cut outs from the boiler or the heating system pump, discoloured water when you bleed the radiators and the slow warming of the heating system, pumps or valves are sticking, excessive heating or water bills, a reset is required regularly, frequent venting is required, heating system or boiler is more than 6 years old.
Corrosion within a central heating system is responsible for over 90% of all heating system, radiator and boiler failures.Power flushing cleans your heating system, replacing corrosive or sludge with clean water. This clean water contains corrosion inhibitors, which will help your heating system last longer, work more efficiently and save you money on bills. Power Flushing can also prolong the life of your boiler. Manufactures insist that heating systems are flushed before installing new boilers and normally cancel warranties when a boiler failure or damage is caused due to systems which have not been professionally power flushed.
Our aim of the Power Flush
We look to restore the full circulation of water around the central heating system, however, it can also eliminate noise from the boiler and the pump as well. This means that the entire system has to be flushed in order to get the best results. Once your whole system has been cleansed thoroughly we refill with clean water. On completion we will add corrosion inhibitor to your system which will protect it from inevitable decay as system metals trend back to their natural state. Then balance the radiators for optimal system efficiency.
The process is clean and safe when done by a professional and can quickly eliminate cold radiators and noisy boilers and pumps thus restoring your heating system to the condition it was when new.
Power Flushing will not actively damage your system. Nor will it repair internal corrosion, electrical and mechanical faults to the system.
